Inside the WMCPC: What 14 Days of Intensive Warehouse Training Delivers

November 18, 2024 adreelogistics

The Warehouse Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (WMCPC) is our most enrolled programme. Over multiple cohorts, it has become the benchmark qualification for warehouse professionals across East and Central Africa.

Who Attends the WMCPC?

The typical WMCPC participant is a warehouse supervisor or junior manager with three to eight years of operational experience who has been promoted on the strength of their practical skills but has never received formal training in warehouse management principles.

Participants come from FMCG distribution, NGO and humanitarian supply chains, manufacturing, retail, and third-party logistics.

The 14-Day Structure

The programme is delivered across 14 intensive training days. Days are structured around taught sessions in the morning, case studies and group exercises in the afternoon, and independent study in the evening.

On days 12 and 13, participants undertake a warehouse simulation exercise — a realistic scenario that requires them to apply their learning under time pressure and with incomplete information.

Assessment and Certification

Assessment comprises a written examination covering theoretical knowledge and a practical assessment based on the simulation exercise and a submitted warehouse improvement project.

Participants who pass both components receive the WMCPC certificate, which is recognised by CILT and IoSCM.

What Alumni Say

Post-programme surveys consistently show that over 85% of WMCPC alumni report improved performance in their roles within six months. Common outcomes include promotion to senior management, successful WMS implementation projects, and measurable improvement in warehouse KPIs.

The next WMCPC cohort intake is open. If you are ready to formalise your expertise and earn a qualification that opens doors across the region, apply through our enrolment page.
